POST CONCRETISM
Pavillon for Færderbiennalen 2026
INTERNATIONAL OPEN CALL
The age of post-concretism has begun. This pavillion explores ways of using the left-overs. Wooden boards and beams, used for casting concrete walls and slabs are now in the center of attention, stepping out of the background. Ankers, holding the casting in place, now elegantly holding textile.
Upcycling in its purest form.
Concrete Formwork as a Building MAterial
The pavillion uses formwork beams, panels, ankers
and support structure, usually used for casting
concrete on site. These can either be sourced as
upcycling material after their life-cycle, or be
loaned for the time the biennale runs.
The roof structure is made from combining
4 formwork panels, combining them
into a two-layered
composite roof beam.
